The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Habit 7:  Sharpen the Saw
Four Dimensions of Self-Renewal: Physical, Mental, Spiritual, Social/Emotional

Image result for Physical, Mental, Spiritual, Social/Emotional"Sharpen the Saw" means to continue to improve. The four dimensions of self-renewal are physical, mental, spiritual and social/emotional health. Physical means not only to stay active but to also eat healthy. Mental health is a level of psychological well-being, or absence of mental illness. Having compassion, the capacity for love and forgiveness, and fulfillment help you enjoy your spiritual health. Social/Emotional health is the ability to form satisfying interpersonal relationships with others. Improving each of those categories just makes you live a happier life. For instance, fixing the relationships you have with others. Just knowing that there are people who will always have your back will make you feel better. Or having your mind at peace makes you just feel great, and proactive. Being healthy and in shape makes you proud of your body and it also makes you feel better. For instance, eating chips everyday isn't good for your body, and for most of us it makes our stomach hurt. Spiritual health is important because loving and forgiving just makes you a better person, holding a grudge just makes you feel awful.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Habit 6:  Synergize
"The whole is greater than the sum of its parts (1+1=3)"

Image result for synergize"The whole is greater than the sum of its parts(1+1=3)" means that working together is more important than working alone. Synergize is the habit of creative cooperation. It is teamwork, open-mindedness, and the adventure of finding new solutions to old problems. But it doesn't just happen on its own. It's a process, and through that process, people bring all their personal experience and expertise to the table. It's just as the quote "Two heads are better than one." For instance, working with other people gives you the option of asking others for help when needed. It also gives you the opportunity to build on maybe one of your peers ideas. They probably have some ideas you would have never thought about. This habit is really beneficial in class because most teachers already expect you to productively work with your classmates. This habit not only applies to school but at most work fields too. During your job you want to work with your coworkers to get the job done faster.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, then to be Understood
"Diagnose before you prescribe."

Image result for seek first to understand then to be understood"Diagnose before you prescribe." is easily understood because it's like a doctor won't prescribe you pills without knowing if you truly need them. Habit 5 advises to always try and understand from where others come from before getting them to understand you. It's easier to get someone to understand you when you know where they are coming from because it'll be easier for you to interpret. For example, if you disagree with someone and they aren't understanding what you are trying to say. You can by asking them why they strongly agree with that and how they can about with that mindset.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Habit 4: Think Win-Win
"Think win-win or no deal."
Image result for win"Think win-win or no deal." means to look for that best deals that means you get a good outcome. Habit number four is to think win win, this means that you be in it to win. Don't have it set in your mind that you are going to fail. For example, if you are trying out for a sports team have it in mind that you are going to make the team. If you don't then you'll just not be trying your best and it's most likely you won't make the team. Thinking win win is not only about winning it means thinking positive.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Habit 3: Put First Things First
"Organize and execute around priorities."
"Organize and execute priorities." means to do the most important things first. Habit three wants you to put things first and that means your priorities. Such as for students our first priority when we get home is to do our homework and then it's to do whatever we want to. Doing our homework is effective because it'll cause us to get good grades in school. Putting our priorities first means no stressing out and no stress makes you happy. Evening out the time you spend in each priority is important because some are more important then others. Some require more time then others. For instance, some college students have to deal with school and work. I believe these two are huge priorities for college students. They have to manage time and that can be hard but overall most of their time goes to college. Even though their job is also a priority.

Electric Vehicles

Electric Drive Vehicles uses one or more electric motors or traction motors for propulsion. Electric vehicles don't use gas; these cars don't harm the earth. The average it would cost to go 100 miles it would be $3.48. The cars also have low maintenance requirements.

Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind
"Control your own destiny or someone else will." (Jack Welch)

Image result for goals"Control your own destiny or someone else will." means that others will make decisions that will effect your future if you don't take control of your own. Such as there are always people waiting to take advantage of others. Habit 2 wants you to begin with the end in mind. This means that in your head you have to already know what you want your outcome to be. Then you have to work hard to make that outcome possible. This means you are just creating goals and working towards them. Such as if you want to be a professional basketball player. You must practice hard and give it your best always. Another example is our goals journal, everyday we write in our goals journal and we try our best to complete as many as possible. We are already creating outcomes in our head because we are hoping for whatever we write down.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Habit 1: Be Proactive
"Habit 1 is the key to unlocking all the other habits and that's why it comes first. It says, "I am the captain of my life. I can choose my attitude. I'm responsible for my own happiness or unhappiness. I am in the driver's seat of my destiny, not just a passenger."
Image result for being proactiveThe quote means that they are taking responsibility for their own life. They are not going along with what everyone else wants; they are doing what makes them happy.Proactive means creating or controlling a situation by causing something to happen rather than responding to it after it has happened. Habit number one is telling you to be proactive with your life. Don't have others plan out your future for you and do it yourself. Such as don't let your parents force you into going into a career you don't like. But that means you have control of your own actions and shall be held responsible for it. Proactive people follow their dreams and what make them happy. If you want to be a designer, follow your dreams and be one. If that makes you happy and everyone tells you it's wrong that it's impossible. Don't listen them if you believe you can do it then you can do it.
